Fanzine Course

Starting: October, 2024.

Duration: 4 classes.

Info: puntorosazines@gmail.com

The zine workshop emerges as a practical space to provide conceptual and useful tools to those who wish to create their own printed productions. During the classes, we will explore technical aspects to understand the logic of editorial assembly and engage in conceptual exercises to help us better grasp and enhance our ideas. No prior knowledge is required to attend the workshop.

The zine originated in the 1940s as a peripheral self-publishing format that sought to give visibility and space to voices marginalized by mass and hegemonic media. Since the return to democracy in Argentina, the zine has aimed to create a space of discomfort and resistance, serving as a medium of communication and political-subjective experimentation that challenges and confronts neoliberal economic, social, and cultural policies. It creates new collective spaces that seek to make visible, through subjectivity, a sensitive experience.

Based on these concepts, the workshop seeks to highlight the value of the format and its possibilities, encouraging the creation of a production that reflects our concerns, while providing the tools to bring them to life.

The workshop consists of three in-person classes, where we will cover concepts, examine the works of other zine creators, and engage in a practical phase where we work on our projects. At the end of the three classes, there will be an optional virtual session where participants will learn how to use InDesign for digital zine layout.

Start a revolution, make a zine!

Homoerotic Photography Course

Starting: 2024.

Groups in English and Spanish.

Duration: 4 classes (Intensive Course) or Extended Course (According to your needs)

Info and booking: alejodillor@gmail.com

This course aims to reflect—from a homoerotic perspective—on various expressions where diverse bodies and eroticism take center stage, through a historical-philosophical and personal-artistic journey. Each class will consist of two parts: a first part where we will analyze homoerotic photography referents, as well as philosophical and aesthetic concepts, and a second part where, through practical exercises, we will incorporate our perspective and artistic practice.

In addition, various concepts related to the search for artistic style, personal vision, and voice will be introduced, along with techniques for developing photographic projects and series, as well as writing exercises to strengthen our voice in the world of homoeroticism, providing tools for professional development as an artist.

With a dual, reflective, and practical approach, the dynamics of the sessions will aim to create a space for collective exchange among the course participants to navigate the journey together and enrich our practice collectively.
