Description

Vigía in Spanish means “vigilance” but it has a hidden root in the word’s origin associated with vigor and strength. This photo zine is a visual exploration of the relationships between the body and the city, the city being a normalizing institution that appropriates our intimacy and the ruins on the edges of the city being the opportunity to retake our intimacy and our relationship with nature.
The work proposes to re-inhabit the ruin, to appropriate it, and in this way to reconnect with one’s being.
